A 19-year-old star from Georgia has died after a car accident that involved him and a co-star in the TV show “Weeds,” according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Josh Duggar and his friend, 21-year old Tyler Hill, were driving on Interstate 40 in the Atlanta suburb of DeKalb County when the car slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was in a lane, the newspaper reported.
Josh, of Decatur, Georgia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tyler was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Josh’s death comes on the heels of an earlier death of a 17-year veteran of the Georgia Air National Guard.
In the wake of the crash, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the funeral expenses of Josh’s family and friends.
Josh was a member of the Air National Guards from December 2008 to June 2011.
In February, Josh was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained in the crash.
In July, Josh attended a memorial service for his father, Jim Duggar.
Josh graduated from DeKalbor High School in 2008 and is listed on the Georgia Military Academy’s official list of graduation inductees.
